PLAN REVIEWER TRAINEE
Following graduation from Apollo High School in Owensboro, KY, Matthew attended the Owensboro Community College and the University of Kentucky, where he studied in the architecture program. He completed his Associates Degree in General Studies at Western Kentucky University in May of 2007, where he completed courses in Mechanical Engineering.
Matthew has extensive work experience in the construction industry, including concrete finishing, equipment operator, blueprint analysis, and structural steel assembly and painting preparation.
After completing his degree in 2007, Matthew began his employment with the Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission in July of 2007.
Initially, Matthew will be training to become a building plan reviewer and will be spending much of his time with the building inspectors in the field and preparing for the various building plan review certification test modules. To date, Matthew has achieved the Commonwealth of Kentucky requirements to be certified as:
- One and Two Family Dwelling Inspector
- Level I Building Inspector
- Level II Building Inspector
