BUILDING/ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR
Following graduation from Owensboro High School in 1969, Dennis began work in residential electrical installation. From 1972-1976, he attended and completed the NECA-IBEW Joint Apprenticeship training program. Dennis passed the City of Owensboro Journeyman Electrician’s exam in 1975. He has worked in residential, commercial and industrial installations, maintenance and troubleshooting. From 1985-1992 Dennis engaged in an electrical contracting business with his brother and received his City of Owensboro Electrical Contractor’s license.
Dennis joined the Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission staff on February 2, 2004 as a Building/Electrical Inspector. Dennis has achieved the Commonwealth of Kentucky requirements to be certified as a Master Electrician and an Electrical Inspector in 1989. He also attined his Building Inspector's certification.
Duties will include electrical inspections for compliance with the National Electrical Code during all phases of construction for residential, commercial and industrial projects. Dennis has successfully completed the Commonwealth of Kentucky requirements to be certified as:
- Electrical Inspector
- One and Two Family
- Level I Building Inspector
- Level II Building Inspector
