BUILDING/ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR
After graduating from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1972,
John attended Daviess County Vocational School and studied
courses in refrigeration, residential and industrial electricity.
John
worked as an electrician from 1972 to 1984, installing electrical
work in residential, commercial and industrial applications,
passing the journeyman electrical exam in 1976. In 1984, John
was employed by General Electric Company as an electrical
and air conditioning technician. In 1999, John passed the
master electrician exam and currently holds a master electrician's
license.
John was employed by the Owensboro Metropolitan Planning
Commission March 25, 1996 as a Building and Electrical Inspector.
Upon his employment, John achieved the Commonwealth of Kentucky
requirements to be certified as:
Electrical Inspector
One and Two Family Dwelling Inspector
Level I Building Inspector
Level II Building Inspector
John is an active member of the International Association
of Electrical Inspectors and Code Administrators Association
of Kentucky, and successfully meets the continuing education
requirements each year as required by the Commonwealth of
Kentucky.
Duties include making inspections for compliance with the
applicable building and electrical codes during all phases
of construction for residential, commercial and industrial
projects.
