SECRETARY III
An Owensboro native, Sheila graduated from Owensboro Catholic
High School. She attended Daviess County Vocational School
and studied courses in accounting and business.
Sheila
worked in banking from 1984 to 2002 as a bookkeeper and credit
analyst.
Sheila has been employed by the Owensboro Metropolitan Planning
Commission since September 2002. As a clerk/typist until July 2004, Sheila's
duties included answering telephone, greeting and directing
visitors, typing, data entry, preparing mailings, making copies,
and various office applications.
Shelia moved to a Secretary III position in July of 2004 and has assumed new duties, which include:
Collect time sheets and maintain records of employee time.
Contact board members for meeting attendance and keep records of attendance.
Maintain contract information for reference for insurance, equipment, etc.
Maintain financial recordkeeping as required.
Maintain office supply inventory.
Maintain personnel records.
Post receipts to appropriate accounts.
Prepare monthly CERS report.
Prepare bank deposits.
Prepare letters as requested by Executive Director.
Prepare monthly record of employees' vacation and sick time.
Pull and file contracts, bookkeeping, planning, building, and other files as required.
Write checks for bills after approval by director.
