1.
Is the Planning Office a department of the City of Owensboro?
No. The Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission is a joint
agency of the three local governments in Daviess County: serving
Owensboro, Whitesville, and Daviess County, Kentucky.
The OMPC Planning Division is funded by the cities of Owensboro
and Whitesville, and by Daviess County Fiscal Court, as well
as by application filing fees. The OMPC Building & Electrical
Division is funded entirely by fees paid for building plan
review and for building and electrical permits. See Organization
for more information on the duties of the OMPC.
